It was created on March 12, 1990, with for initial objective to promote in France the culture of the ethnic minorities of China.<br \/>In 1997, Fran\u00e7oise Grenot-Wang, founder of the association, worked in the region of the Great Miao Mountains in Guangxi, as an interpreter for a team of M\u00e9decins sans Fronti\u00e8res. As part of this work, she was moved by the difficulties of getting girls into school.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1537967470265{padding-top: 20px !important;background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.72) !important;*background-color: rgb(255,255,255) !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1542360800151{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div style=\"color: #333333; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Indeed, in most schools in these Miao, Yao and Dong villages, almost no girls were enrolled because of family poverty. She left behind a family, an immense humanitarian work recognized by the Chinese and French authorities and supported by an active association: Couleurs de Chine, and also an ethnological work of great quality.
